These Terms of Service govern your use of the Cozy Corner Interiors website and any custom joinery work we agree to undertake for you. By using this site, or by engaging us to do work, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Cozy Corner Interiors (ABN 87 433 513 549) designs, builds and installs custom joinery across Greater Melbourne. We are a small, family run workshop and every project is quoted, made and installed by us directly.
2. Using this website
The content on this site — text, photos, drawings, blog posts and pricing examples — is provided for general information. It is not a quote, an offer, or a substitute for a written agreement. We try to keep it accurate and up to date but we don’t guarantee that copy, prices or photos are error-free at all times.
You agree not to misuse this site — for example by scraping it, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or interfering with how it works for other visitors.
3. Enquiries and quotes
Submitting the contact form (or emailing or calling us) is the start of a conversation, not a binding agreement. A free 30-minute in-home consult follows, where we measure your space and discuss options. After that, you’ll receive a written, fixed-price quote outlining scope, materials, timeline and the deposit required to book the work in.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless we state otherwise in writing. We reserve the right to revise a quote if the scope of the work changes after the consult (for example, you decide to add a coat cupboard that wasn’t in the original brief).
4. Bookings, deposits and payment
To book your project into our build schedule we require a deposit (typically 30% of the quoted price), with the balance due on the day of installation. We’ll send you a tax invoice for each payment. If a balance remains unpaid 14 days after installation, we reserve the right to charge interest or engage a debt-collection service.
5. Cancellations and changes
You can cancel a booked project at any time. If the workshop hasn’t started cutting materials yet, your deposit is fully refundable. If we’ve started work specifically for your project (custom-cut panels, glass on order, special-finish timber), we’ll deduct the actual costs incurred and refund the balance.
Changes to scope after the quote is accepted will be honoured at our discretion. We’ll write down any change and re-confirm the impact on price and timeline before proceeding.
6. Warranty
We stand behind our workmanship. All installed joinery carries a 5-year workmanship warranty covering defects in how the piece was built and installed. Hardware (hinges, runners, gas struts) carries the manufacturer’s warranty, usually 1–2 years. Natural timber movement and wear from everyday use are not covered — this is normal and not a defect.
7. Site access and installation
You’re responsible for providing safe, clear access to the work area on installation day, including moving furniture out of the way and securing pets. We treat your home with respect and clean the workspace at the end of the install, but installation is by nature dusty work — please plan accordingly.
8. Intellectual property
Everything on this site (photos, drawings, written copy, blog posts) is owned by Cozy Corner Interiors or used with permission. You’re welcome to share and link to it for personal use; please ask before republishing commercially.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from the supply of custom joinery is limited to the amount you have paid us for the relevant work. This does not exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute will be handled in Victorian courts, unless consumer law directs otherwise.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change whenever a new version goes live, and we’ll do our best to flag material changes on the homepage for at least 30 days.
